THE COMMISSIONERS OF ST. MICHAELS PUBLIC NOTICE
The Commissioners of St. Michaels are accepting letters of interest and resumes from individuals wishing to serve on the following Boards or Commissions for terms starting January 1, 2027:
- Board of Zoning Appeals - 3-year term (1) vacancy term ending 2029
- Climate Change/Sea Level Rise Commission - 4-year term (1) vacancy term ending 2029 (1) vacancy term ending 2030
- Waterfront Business Owner
- Waterfront Resident
- Ethics Commission - 3-year term (1) vacancy term ending 2029
- Historic District Commission - 3-year term (2) vacancies terms ending 2029
- Housing Commission of Talbot - 5-year term (1) vacancy term ending 2031
- Full-time Resident
- Parks and Recreation Advisory Board - 3-year term (3) vacancies terms ending 2029
- Planning Commission - 5-year term (1) vacancy term ending 2031
- Full-time Resident
- St. Michaels Tourism Advisory Board - 4-year term (2) vacancies terms ending 2030
- Lodging
- Non-Profit/Museum
- Waterways Management Advisory Board - 3-year term (3) vacancies terms ending 2029
- Preference given up to two licensed watermen who berth their vessels in St. Michaels
Duties, responsibilities, and requirements for board members are set forth in Chapter 98 of the Town Code, which can be accessed on the Town’s website at www.stmichaelsmd.gov.
Required submittal information include the following two documents:
- A current resume;
- A letter of interest to include;
- Name of board/commission for which you are applying
- Your qualifications for this position
- Why you wish to serve
- What you hope to accomplish during your term
Appointments will be considered by the Commissioners. The letter and resume should be submitted via e-mail, regular mail, or hand delivered for receipt no later than Monday, November 9, 2026 by 4:30pm to:
