The St. Michaels Tourism Advisory Board consists of seven members who are appointed by the Commissioners to a term of four years. The Board normally meets not less than once every three months, or as frequently as it considers necessary. Unless notice is given of an alternative venue, all meetings will be held at the Boy Scout Cabin, located at 407 St. Mary’s Square. The Board acts as an advisory and consultive body to the Town Commissioners on policies, events and projects intended to encourage business retention and recruitment.

The purpose of the board is intended to assist the town in its efforts to manage, promote and stabilize the economic health of the town’s tourism economy while preserving the town’s historic, maritime, and small-town character, and to provide advice on matters generally relating to the business environment. The board will also work closely with the talbot county tourism board on a unified, regional marketing approach.
