Climate Change/Sea Level Rise Commission
Join us for the St. Michaels Climate Change/Sea Level Rise Commission meeting held on Thursday evenings at 5:00pm. Unless notice is given of an alternative venue, all meetings will be held at the Boy Scout Cabin, located at 407 St. Mary’s Square. Due to the complexity of our current mitigation projects, we are tentatively beginning this meeting at 3:00pm. Please check back for any additional changes.
This meeting will feature two guest speakers. BayLand will provide an update on the Back Creek Park Living Shoreline Project 30% Design Drawing, a vital project funded by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Additionally, Rauch will present two key updates: the first on Phase I of the Advanced Assistance Grant, focusing on the Shoreline Review Board meeting notes, geotechnical study findings and recommendations, and the Mill Street culvert options. Followed by Phase II of this project, covering the Muskrat Park Stormwater Analysis and Solutions, pump station review and Mulberry Street preliminary concept plan. These critical projects are supported by federal funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), distributed and managed by the Maryland Department of Emergency Management. These important mitigation initiatives would not be possible without their ongoing support and funding. Thank you.
Please note: All agendas are DRAFT DOCUMENTS until the day of the meeting.
