
Request for Proposals (RFP) for San Domingo Creek Park Phase I Demolition: Clearing, Grading & Fill

INVITATION TO BIDDERS
The Town is seeking bids to hire a contractor, or a team of contractors, to complete the demolition of buildings, removal of old irrigation and pump system main structures and electrical connections, and removal of compacted and loose gravel areas in the Phase I Demolition Plans of San Domingo Creek Park. The contractor shall be required to complete a variety of demolition activities including removing buildings and utilities and bring in clean fill dirt (approximately 1,400 cubic yards) into the site as needed to smooth and grade the area in accordance with the Town’s demolition plan as a part of the project.
The following tasks are included and expanded upon in Section C - "Scope of Services" in the RFP for this project:
- Environmental Protection, Erosion & Sediment Controls
- Construction Entrance - Clear and grade a construction entrance as shown on the plans.
- Utility Preparation & Removal
- Building and Structures - Retention and Removal Areas
- Other Debris to be Removed
- Grading and Fill Required
Demolition work will include coordination and adherence to the master plan and compliance with the approved San Domingo Creek Park Demolition Improvement Plans (See Attachment “B”). These plans will need to be implemented in stages.
Phase I- Demolition - Current project receiving bids.
Phase II- Demolition - Will be bid at a later time after final construction plans and permits for the park development are secured.

Submission Date:
Sealed proposals are due on or before June 30, 2025, by 2:00pm. The proposal may be hand delivered or mailed to the Town of St. Michaels, 201 Boundary Lane, PO Box 206, St. Michaels, Maryland 21663. Any proposals received after that time will not be accepted. Opening of proposals will commence on June 30, 2025 at 2:00pm in the St. Michaels Town Office, located at 201 Boundary Lane, St. Michaels, Maryland.
The submittal deadline, review and award of a contract is anticipated to be as follows:

Notice: The Pre-Application meeting & site visit, on June 16th, will only be held in person and not with video call. Notes, questions and answers will be posted for review after the meeting.
